After completing a degree in fine arts Stefan Enders shifted his focus to photography. His fascination for the photographic medium is based on the challenge to deal with and capture reality.
Next to freelance projects Stefan Enders since 1986 also works for international magazines such as stern in the fields of portrait and photo journalism. Furthermore, his work has been published in magazines like Geo, Merian, ZEIT and Spiegel among others. In 2003 Stefan Enders was awarded with the Fuji-Euro-Press-Photo-Award for a project in Burma. Since 2005 he teaches as a professor of photography in the degree programme “communications design” at the University of Applied Science Mainz. Stefan Enders lives in Cologne.
